How long is a photoshoot?

I always allow up to two hours of shooting time per shoot as standard. However sometimes we may end up only shooting for less. If the horse or dog is the fidgety type, they won't be wanting to hang around.

Two hours is plenty of time to do some outfit changes and to keep a relaxed and enjoyable feel to the experience!

Do I have to be in the photos?

Not at all. If you'd like your horse or dog to be the star of the show, that's perfectly fine! I can always feature you in other ways. I always encourage you to be in a couple, it's not the paparazzi style photo shoot you might think. I promise you it's not awkward and you won't feel like you're having your photo taken.

What if we get bad weather on the day?

Very occasionally, the good old British weather can ruin photography plans. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about this other than rearrange for another convenient day. Please don't worry! 

It is worth mentioning that overcast is actually very good for photoshoots so we only have to think about what happens in the case of extreme rain or storms! 

Can I have multiple horses or dogs?

Yes! I don't charge for extra horses, dogs, or family members. The more the merrier! Just let me know how many four-legged & two-legged family members I can expect at your pre shoot consultation so we can plan accordingly.

My dog needs to stay on the lead.

Don't panic! Your dog is perfectly welcome to stay on a lead, and for some more, this can actually be necessary in order to get the shots! Leads and collars will be edited out of the final images where possible to do so, harnesses however will feature in the final images so I do recommend bringing a collar instead.

What is the difference between a digital and a high resolution images?

• Digital files are smaller, and are perfect for showing off your new beautiful images online on Instagram, Facebook.

• High-resolution files are perfect for the above, but more importantly for at-home printing.

Can I view my images via an online gallery?

Yes, although the in person viewing session is something I would highly recommend. The in person reveal session is a much better way of viewing your images as you can see them on a fully calibrated monitor and see them at their very best! You can also view sample products and get a feel for them, view the sample frame chevrons - I will also be there to guide you through the whole process.

If an in person viewing session isn’t possible for you for any reason but would prefer it over an online gallery then we can discuss a virtual viewing session, where we meet online to view and select your images!

Do I have to purchase images after the photoshoot?

Of course not!

During your viewing session, the option will be there to purchase your images as wall-art, prints or digital files should you wish to. However, if this isn’t something you want to do this is fine and I will not pressure you into doing so!

I am there for professional guidance and advice, not to sell!

It is important to note that the viewing session is still necessary in order to select the images you would like as part of your package! If you then wish to purchase additional images you can and I will guide and help you through the process. If you don’t then this is not an issue!
